Normal routine prior to seeing optometrist is: office personnel ask info prior to eye exam to verify eligibility. All offices do this "basic check", that is why they ask name, insurance AND birthdate.

Americas best personnel DID NOT do this so I thinking all is well was surprised I had a month to go to be covered. I trusted "Americas best" did normal checking before exam...

$65 I paid.... #unprofessional.

Hate to break that information-free bubble you live in, but it is always YOUR responsibility to ensure your insurance covers whatever health procedure you are obtaining, whether it be an office call or major surgery---or, in your case vision care. It's always someone else's fault, isn't it?
